Components & Workflow of PP Sheet Extrusion Line

Material Feeding & Drying: Equipped with hopper-integrated volumetric/dosing feeder for precise material control; optional dehumidifying dryer available for moisture-sensitive recycled PE materials, ensuring optimal processing conditions.

Single-Screw Extruder: Equipped with multi-zone temperature-controlled barrel (160–220°C for PP processing), featuring precision screw design to ensure efficient plasticization and melting of pellets. Integrated vacuum venting system effectively removes volatiles and moisture, while hydraulic screen changer enables non-stop operation. The single-screw configuration is optimized for standard production, with a twin-screw variant available for high-performance mixing applications (regrind materials, additives, and colorants). .

Sheet Die (T-Die): Equipped with precision-adjustable lip design for accurate width/thickness control (standard width range 600–3000mm, thickness capability 0.2mm to 10+mm). The die features internally optimized flow channels to ensure uniform melt distribution, complemented by independent temperature control zones that maintain consistent material viscosity during extrusion.

Three-Roll Calendar: Equipped with mirror-finish hard chrome rollers featuring independent temperature control (adjustable 80–120°C), which precisely flattens the extruded melt sheet to ensure consistent thickness (±0.02mm tolerance) and high-gloss surface finish. The roller nip pressure system enables uniform material compression, complemented by synchronized speed control that prevents sheet stretching or distortion during calendering.

Cooling & Traction Unit: Conveyor/cooling rollers, tension control system to prevent warping.

Cutting & Winding: Equipped with dual-mode processing capabilities – automatic cross-cutting system for sheet production (with precision length control ±1mm) and roll winding unit for coil formation. Integrated PLC control system ensures synchronized operation of cutting/winding speed with upstream traction unit, featuring tension feedback regulation to prevent sheet deformation during processing.
