Yongte Completes Solid Foam WPC Door Frame Extrusion Line for Indian Client

Yongte Plastic Machinery, a leading manufacturer of high-performance plastic and wood-plastic composite (WPC) extrusion equipment, announces the successful completion of a custom-engineered solid foam WPC door frame extrusion line, purpose-built for a key partner in India.

Designed for the production of high-precision, high-strength solid foam WPC door frames, this turnkey line integrates advanced processing technologies to meet the growing demand for durable, moisture-resistant, and low-maintenance building materials in the Indian construction market.

Solid Foam WPC Door Frame Extrusion Line

Customized for Solid Foam WPC Door Frame Production

Unlike standard hollow WPC profile lines, this system is optimized for the unique challenges of solid foam door frame manufacturing, which requires precise control over material density, foaming consistency, and dimensional stability. The line is engineered to produce full-solid, foamed WPC door frames with uniform cell structure, high mechanical strength, and excellent surface finish, ideal for both interior and exterior applications.

1. High-Efficiency Twin-Screw Extruder with Precision Control

At the heart of the line is a heavy-duty, high-torque twin-screw extruder, specifically configured for WPC solid foam formulations:
  • Specialized screw and barrel design: Optimized for high-loading wood flour, polymer blends, and foaming agents, ensuring uniform plasticization, consistent melt temperature, and homogeneous mixing.
  • Closed-loop temperature control system: Independent heating/cooling zones maintain precise process temperatures, preventing material degradation and ensuring stable foaming.
  • High-precision metering system: Equipped with gravimetric or volumetric feeders for accurate dosing of raw materials, including wood fiber, polymer, additives, and foaming agents, to guarantee consistent product density and weight.

2. 9-Meter Ultra-Long Cooling & Calibration Platform

A standout feature of this line is the custom-engineered 9-meter (29.5 ft) ultra-long cooling platform, purpose-built to address the unique requirements of solid WPC door frame profiles:
  • Multi-stage vacuum calibration system: The platform incorporates precision vacuum sizing sleeves and water cooling tanks, arranged in sequential stages to gradually cool and solidify the thick, solid profile.
  • Enhanced dimensional stability: The extended cooling length ensures slow, uniform cooling of the solid cross-section, eliminating internal stresses, preventing warping, and maintaining strict tolerances for straightness, flatness, and profile dimensions.
  • Efficient heat dissipation: The closed-loop water circulation system, combined with spray and immersion cooling, provides consistent heat removal across the entire profile surface, critical for preventing surface defects and ensuring uniform foaming throughout the cross-section.

3. Integrated Downstream System for Continuous Production

The line includes a complete downstream package designed for seamless, automated operation:
  • Haul-off unit: Heavy-duty caterpillar haul-off with variable speed control, providing consistent pulling force to match the extrusion rate and prevent profile deformation.
  • Precision cutting system: Servo-controlled flying saw cutter with automatic length measurement, ensuring clean, accurate cuts with minimal material waste.
  • Control system: Centralized PLC-based control panel with HMI interface, allowing operators to monitor and adjust all process parameters (temperature, speed, pressure, vacuum) in real time, ensuring repeatability and ease of operation.

Tailored for the Indian Market

This project underscores Yongte’s commitment to providing region-specific solutions. The line has been engineered to handle the local raw materials commonly used in India, including various grades of PVC, wood flour, and locally sourced additives, while maintaining high production efficiency and product quality.
"Working closely with our Indian client, we tailored every aspect of this line to meet their specific production goals and material requirements," said a senior engineer at Yongte. "The 9-meter cooling platform, in particular, is a direct response to the challenges of solid foam door frame production, ensuring our client can produce high-quality, dimensionally stable profiles that meet the demands of the Indian construction industry."

The completed line is now ready for shipment to India, where Yongte’s technical team will provide full installation, commissioning, and on-site training to ensure smooth startup and long-term operational success.
