Project Overview

We are pleased to announce the successful trial run of our custom Plastic Lumber Making Machine, tailor-built for our valued customer from Europe. This full plastic lumber extrusion line is engineered to manufacture 200×50 mm solid plastic lumber, using recycled PP and PE waste plastics as raw feedstock. It converts waste plastic into durable solid profiles, supporting our client’s circular plastic recycling business.

Main Line Configuration & Technical Highlights

Automatic Screw Feeding System

The automatic screw feeder ensures stable and continuous feeding of recycled plastic materials into the extruder, minimising manual operation and achieving consistent feeding rate.

High Plasticization Single Screw Extruder

Our single screw extruder delivers superior plasticizing performance. It comes with a drying hopper and vacuum venting system to remove moisture and volatile contaminants, guaranteeing high-quality melt. The extruder adopts high-efficiency energy-saving servo motors to lower operational power costs for long-time continuous production.

Custom Extrusion Die & Calibration Unit

The specially designed extrusion die builds stable and sufficient extrusion pressure for uniform profile forming. Matching with the die is a 300 mm length* 4-section calibration mould, together with a 3–6 m cooling water tank, which quickly and evenly shapes the solid plastic lumber after extrusion.

Servo-Powered Pulling & Cutting System

The heavy-duty double caterpillar tractor and automatic cutting machine are both driven by servo motors. It provides stable hauling speed and highly accurate length cutting of finished profiles.

Scrap Recycling & Dust Collection System

A dedicated dust collection device captures cutting scraps generated during the cutting process. These collected scraps can be recycled and reintroduced into production, maximising raw material utilisation and reducing waste.

Project Value & Application

This production line enables our European customer to upcycle post-consumer PP/PE plastic waste into premium solid plastic lumber. The finished plastic lumber has advantages of low water absorption, anti-corrosion property and long service life, widely used for outdoor construction, decking, fencing and marine projects.
