The machine is specially engineered for producing PVC wood-plastic composite (WPC) foam boards and has already garnered strong praise from the customer for its exceptional quality and dependable performance.

Customized Engineering for PVC WPC Foam Board

The 92/188 extruder was specifically designed and constructed to meet the customer’s precise production requirements. At its heart lies a 92 mm diameter conical twin-screw system, meticulously calibrated for consistent plasticization and efficient mixing of PVC wood-plastic composite formulations. The conical screw arrangement provides excellent shear management and material compression, making it particularly ideal for foam board extrusion—where uniform density and surface quality are crucial.  

Installed on an integrated heavy-duty base frame, the extruder ensures exceptional structural stability and effective vibration suppression under high-load conditions. This robust base directly supports the machine’s enduring precision and reliability.  

This conical twin-screw extruder is utilized for manufacturing PVC WPC foam board or PVC WPC door board.

High-Efficiency Drive and Power Transmission

To provide both power and energy efficiency, the extruder is fitted with a 110 kW permanent magnet servo motor. In comparison to traditional drive systems, this servo motor enables accurate speed regulation, swift response, and substantially lower energy usage — a critical benefit for customers aiming to reduce operating expenses without compromising high productivity.  

Power transmission is handled by a high-torque, high-strength hardened-gear reducer, designed for long-term reliability under continuous heavy-duty operation. The hardened gear surfaces minimize wear, prolong service life, and ensure stable, quiet performance during extended production cycles. Additionally, the gearbox offers superior mixing and self-cleaning capabilities, preventing material accumulation and maintaining consistent melt quality throughout the extrusion process.

Intelligent Control System Featuring Siemens PLC

The machine is equipped with an intelligent electrical control system centered on a Siemens PLC, offering customers a highly dependable and intuitive operating interface. Critical production parameters—such as temperature profiles, screw speed, feed rate, and extrusion pressure—are continuously monitored and adjusted in real time, guaranteeing process stability and minimizing the likelihood of production defects.  

The control system is installed within an integrated electrical cabinet featuring a split-door configuration, complemented by a separate HMI console that provides operators with a tidy, ergonomically optimized workspace, distanced from the heat and vibration generated by the main unit. The cabinet includes an independent forced cooling system to sustain ideal internal temperatures and incorporates interlock safety mechanisms to protect both personnel and equipment. The entire enclosure is dust-resistant, specifically designed to endure the harsh conditions typical of plastic manufacturing environments.

Material Compatibility

In addition to PVC WPC foam board production, the 92/188 conical twin-screw extruder exhibits broad material compatibility, enabling its use across various applications such as filler masterbatch production, plastic compounding, and recycling pelletizing. This adaptability empowers customers to fully leverage their investment across multiple product lines and material types.
